A majestic Baroque period Italian carved wood frame with curved mirror plate. Most likely to have be designed and made to contain an heraldic coat of arms. The "St Mark's Lion" above heavy scrolled sides with central suit of armour helmet, above two mermen further deep scrolls and stylised Egyptian head. The egg and dart inner frame now surrounding a curved and bevel edged mirror plate.
