The beautifully fitted interior with secret compartments, herringbone inlay and classical column marquetry to the drawer and door fronts. The fall front, supported by lopers with their original ring pull handles, above two short and three long graduated drawers, all retaining their original handles escutcheons and locks, standing on its original bracket feet. Of unusual construction, note the inset panel sides and rounded corners and feet. An interior drawer retaining an original brass plaque inscribed "Earl of Shannon".
