A fine pair of bronze cranes on parcel-gilt rockwork bases, each with a coronet to the neck and holding in its beak an opened oak leaf surmounted by a candle sconce and original drip-pan. 

Cranes being emblematic of all the virtues are the heraldic device of several noble families including Gibson of Dublin. Circa 1840
