The body of each finely and fully engraved with grape and vine decoration. One with stopper engraved to match, the other plain.

Overall height of both 13.5”  34.5 cm. Diameter 7”  18cm

Condition:- One small chip to the lip of the one with the plain stopper.

The Globe and Shaft decanter design was taken from a typical serving bottle of the late 17th century after which it went out of fashion until being revived and popularised as a formal decanter pattern during the Victorian period c. 1850.
