Late 18th century Dutch silver Tea Strainer.

A charming late 18th century Dutch silver Tea Strainer, the oval boat shape body pierced with classical scroll patterns below a triple reeded edge and supported at a right angle by an ebonised turned wood handle.

Bearing the Sterling Silver import marks of Berthold Muller, London 1903, together with the Dutch Lion Rampant intruded by the Key mark, first introduced in 1853 indicating eligible and intended for export.

Width 3” (7.5 cm) Overall Depth 2” (5cm) Height 7½” (18.5 cm)

Condition: One very small bruise to lower end of bowl and to handle junction. Wear to handle surface compatible with use.
