A rare and highly decorative Pair of Regency period Papier Mache Decanter Stands or Bottle Coasters coloured throughout in red lacquer, the straight outer sides decorated with gold leaf vine leaves enriched with fine penwork and dark bunches of grapes.

Condition: All edges and outer decorated surfaces excellent as with careful use and ageing. Interior bases show signs of normal use. Old felt base liners removed.
